It’s no secret that the vast pine forests of Thomasville make it home to quail.  The tradition of hunting this game bird is a favored pastime on many of the plantations in our area.

Did you know that you can even hunt quail in downtown Thomasville? Not with guns, of course, but with your eyes. Twelve bronze quail statues are hidden in different locations in the downtown area and make for a fun scavenger hunt for both adults and children.

If you are ready to go hunting you can pick up your hints at the Visitors Center located at 144 E. Jackson St.  Hints cards are available in the breezeway outside the Visitors Center 24 hours a day.  The brochures can be found in the breezeway by the door.
