The Ocean Lodge on St. Simons Island, GA: Holli and Jeremy
|
|
Last weekend Brian and I drove over to St. Simons to photograph Holli and Jeremy's wedding at Ocean Lodge. Ocean Lodge is a luxurious, boutique hotel, and you can see a few photos that I took last year by clicking here.
I lived on the island for my last few years in high school, so it is always fun to have an excuse to go back for a visit.
We arrived just in time to find Holli almost ready to go see Jeremy...
One of the pretty bouquets...
The cute shoes...
The bling...
I love, love, love this shot of Holli and she was walking up behind Jeremy. This is such a FUN part of the wedding day.
It was crazy hot outside, but we were able to squeeze in some portraits before the ceremony. The Ocean Lodge is so beautiful I could shoot there all day.
The ceremony was held in the garden area - the perfect, intimate location!
These cute little girls were so much fun to watch...
Check out Holli's gorgeous bracelet and her pretty bouquet...
A few more ceremony shots...
Sealing the deal...
Another cute girl moment...
What's a wedding without cute kids?
Cake details captured by my good lookin' second shooter (a.k.a. husband)...
You can see a few more of his photos here.
More details...
The reception was held on the 5th floor - what a gorgeous view.
Ohhhh....fiiiire! :)
The first dance...
Holli and Jeremy - it was a beautiful, relaxing day. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day!

I can't believe it's that time of year again - time to head over to Sarah and Bryant's house to get a few photos for their Christmas cards!
I'll start with a few shots of Sarah - she is so prety and couldn't be any sweeter. If you ever find yourself in need of a pizza chef, give her a call. :)
Bryant was a great sport too - you can't tell from these photos that we had to drag him off the golf course can you? I think most guys would not be so cooperative at this point, but Bryant is so polite and was great!
Bryant wanted a photo taken with the flag below. Something was not quite right about it although the colors were almost right. :) Kidding, sort of. lol
Sarah and Bryant together...
Rhonda: I'll be in touch soon with some Christmas Card designs.
Everyone Else: I think I'm going to keep the card designs top secret this year and not show them off until the week before Christmas. And oh...that engagement session that I keep talking about...we were rained out again. :( We'll get it done one day though! I am looking forward to a beautiful wedding on St. Simons Island this weekend and will be back next week to post those photos.

Labor Day Weekend at the River
Thursday, September 10, 2009 | Random
|
|
*****NOTE: ALL PHOTOS IN THIS POST WERE TAKEN WITH EITHER MY IPHONE OR MY POINT AND SHOOT.*****
Okay...I just have to make that known in case someone is stumbling upon my blog for the first time! :)
Last weekend I left my "real" camera at home, and we went away for a long, relaxing weekend. The Aucilla River is one of our favorite places to be when we don't have anything going on.
The view from the house...
A few starfish and shells laying around that my mama and her friends found on their last trip down...
Because the house is so close to the gulf the water is brackish, and blue crabs can be caught from the dock.
Brian and Randy always get lots of fishing done while they are there. Here is Brian showing off their meager catch - not much luck last weekend.
I'm not really that into fishing, but I do love going out in the boat. It is so pretty where the river meets the gulf...
And that's it - just a few photos from the weekend. :)
My engagement session was re-scheduled because of rain (which ended up not happening) so I will be doing that this weekend. I am also heading out in a little while to do my first Christmas portrait session of the season...I can't believe it's that time already!

Family Reunion: Orlando: Post 3
|
|
***If you are here to see wedding and portrait work - please choose from the categories menu above.***
This is the third and final post from R3 Global's Family Reunion event that was held in Orlando. As far as time goes, this event is equal to shooting 8 or 9 weddings, so it takes me quite a while to sort through the images and get things posted.
A worship service was held Sunday morning from 9-12. Great praise music is always involved.
Everyone got to hear Dean Sikes again...
Brig shared his story with everyone.
The morning concluded with Pastor Paul Zink.
You might think that most people would have to leave Sunday morning to catch flights home and get on the road, but the room was packed.
After the worship service, hundreds of people moved to the indoor pool area that had been reserved so that those wishing to be baptized could do so.
There were so many people that I did't realize that Blake was baptized until I was editing photos.
It was pretty amazing to see groups of people continuously going down into the pool.
Steve and Gina assisted two of their children with the baptism that afternoon - Raimi decided to do so too. I love the joyful expression of the lady behind them.
You may remember sweet, sweet Hailey and Lyndsey from their family photo session last year. It was great to see them baptized with the assistance of their grandfather.
Pastor Paul Zink...
It was truly an awesome day.
With that said, I have more random photos from the event. I'll start with just a few of the items from the R3 store. I always love detail shots.
It's always fun to sneak around and get shots of the R3 staff.
This is Louis, one of the official taste testers for the R3 Cookbook. :) He is also the reason I think it is always a good idea to say, "No!" from now on when someone says, "Wanna go up REALLY high behind the stage to get a crowd shot?"
The area behind the stage looks a little like a Star Wars set...
Playing around with silhouettes...
Steve pretty much knows everything and keeps everything moving. I snagged this shot when he was flying by on one of the bikes. I think MANY people would love to drive all of the vehicles like Steve does.
Security is one tough crew. Scary? :)
You just wouldn't believe all of the people that are involved with production - it is very impressive!
I have no idea who these guys are (I think they came in to do the lighting), but it looks like they have a plan! :)
Unpacking boxes for R3's store...
A cute prop in the store...
Lots of shoppers and people working the registers...
This is what the room looks like when it is mostly empty except for the lights going up.
The crew (the Disney crew I believe) putting up the thematic touches to give a beach vibe.
It is always fun to watch as people began to trickle in...
People arrive very early and line up to get the best seats. The massive line snakes down the hallway and through the conference center.
Everyone is so excited as they enter. It might look chaotic, but security does a great job and everything is actually very controlled.
A view of part of the stage area from the back of the room...
The stage was set up to look like a boardwalk...
The "Hart Surf Shop" was my favorite part of the scenery. I loved how they changed the video, lighting, and colors from morning to bright sun to sunset.
The other side of the stage looked great too.
What do you think about the palm trees? Cool, huh?
Even the M.O.R.E. shot bar outside in the hall was appropriately themed. The proceeds from the sale of Monavie shots go to the M.O.R.E. Project.
Of course there was a new product at the shot bar that was not available last year...Monavie's new healthy energy drink!
That's it for the R3 Family Reunion even photos.
Check back next week to see a fun enagement session that I'm shooting this weekend in Florida. More importantly, keep your fingers crossed that we don't get rained out!
In the meantime, find me on facebook:

Family Reunion: Orlando: Post 2

***If you are here to see wedding and portrait work - please choose from the categories menu above.***
If you are a regular blog reader, you know that I sometimes do work for R3 Global when I am free. I recently traveled to Orlando to photograph a convention that they held at the Marriott World Center. I was there for five days, so it will take a few posts to share the images with you.
Saturday morning began with a warm welcome from Ron, Corbin, and Holly.
Katy Larsen spoke about the M.O.R.E. project.
Next, Jeff Graham spoke about Monavie's new energy drink.
Dallin was not able to make it to Orlando this time, but he did make a video appearance.
Drew Read spoke about the Paul Anderson Youth Home.
There were several great panels throughout the day...
Ed and Cheryl Henderson got the audience involved with a great activity to help with strengthening marriages.
Next, the crowd heard from Pastor Paul Zink.
After a break, while waiting for the next session to start, the crowd really got busy dancing!
A dance line was formed...
Corbin even did a handstand...
More singing from Tim Gidley...
The Canadians were definitely in attendance...and let me tell you...they are a wild and crazy group! :)
Debbie and Charlie Kalb...
John Bevere spoke about forgiveness and overcoming intimidation.
Brig...
Gina and Steve...
Round 2 of R3 Global's Got Talent...
A few words from Matt before....
...before...Rod Stewart hit the stage with his backup dancers.
Brig and Lita...
Black Diamond Group Shot...
I'll post Sunday and other random images next.
I have a fun engagement session coming up this weekend in Florida so be on the lookout for those photos coming up soon!
